I’ll be honest, I bought this book to support a friend. I love their Instagram and all the food pics they post. So I thought, hey… support a friend and learn a couple of yummy recipes. What I didn’t expect, was this ebook being more packed with information, then loaded nachos are with toppings (at least an epic kind of loaded nachos). Each page was super interesting with tips and advice with how to meal prep for my family and there is even tips on hosting! The best part was the way the book tackles different varieties of meal prep and how to do so. Not a fan of eating the same meal every day type of meal prep? This book has you covered, even if you do like that, yup you’re covered.
My favourite part of the book besides the drool worthy recipes (no… For real, I had to get a bucket for my drool. Kay, not really but you get what I am saying) was the chapter on how to meal prep, cook, and handle picky eaters. I find this section was so helpful and had an oh so refreshing outlook on how to help our little nugget monsters to trying new things and how react with the result of them doing so.
Another major aspect that rarely or in my opinion never see, is the tips on how to cook and prep as someone with a chronic illness/pain. The inclusivity to this ebook just made me fall in love with it even more.
Oh and there are several different templates to use. Need I say more?

Shout out to @paintedrootsfarm who wrote a cookbook that I finally got my hands on! It’s super professional, has substitutions for dietary restrictions, and even accessibility notes for disabilities.

We need to seriously talk about how good the death by chocolate zucchini cake is from @paintedrootsfarm!!! They made a fully vegan menu for last night and this might be one of my top 5 cakes tbh.

I bought a mealkit from #paintedrootsfarm at #pridenightmarket and the value was insane. $25 for enough food to feed a family of four, and since I don’t have that, enough for a week of meal prep. Delicious chickpea curry, naan, rice, spices. I added a few things I needed to use up, and made the cucumber salad later. The vegan chocolate zucchini cake was incredible

The Savvy Planner toolkit feels like such a weight off my shoulders in how it makes meal prepping accessible. I was also happily surprised and delighted at how it prompted person reflections to make life rhythms more intentional and realistic.

Omg the naan is to die for! I think this is the best I’ve ever had, and that beats all the really good Indian places I’ve had.

Last weekend I got meal kits from @paintedrootsfarm and it was literally so delicious!
Regular or vegan option meal kits with their own recipes and fresh produce from their garden. So far I tried the Fresh Naan and Curry Meal Kit and I’m obsessed! Easy to make, hugs portions, local produce, and handmade naan! 10/10
